The last will and Testament of Jacob

Proved and recorded June 6 1835 as a
will of Real Estate.
In the name of God Amen! I Jacob Luke of Jericho of the town of Bethlehem of the West District of the manor of Rensselaerwyck in the county of Albany. Being weak of body but sound of mind memory and understanding, thanks be to God for the same. Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say Imperious I most humbly bequeath my soul to God my maker, beseeching him most gracious. Acceptance of it through the all sufficient merits and mediation of my most companionate redeemer Jesus Christ I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken and desire it may be decently interred in a Christian like burial, and as to my worldly estate with which it hath pleased God to help me I will all my just debts and funeral charges be paid by my son Solomon. Items I give desire and bequeath unto my son Solomon, all that my (certain) farm (or) piece of land with the buildings thereon erected, situated lying and being in Jericho and town of Bethlehem in the county of Albany whereon I now reside, together with one hundred and forty acres of land be it more or less lying on the (Collaburrah) joining Garet Houghtalings land, together with the stock on the said farm with all the implements of husbandry and all wagons, (Slays), Sleds, plows, harrows ( ) and all the apparatus thereon belongings either real or personal that I may be position of at the time of my death he paying the Legacies to herein after bequeath, to give and to hold the same to him the said Solomon during his natural life and after his decease the children of him the said Solomon, their heirs and assigns forever, provided also that in case Lena the wife of said Solomon should survive said Solomon, then I will that the said Lena shall remain in position of the above farm and tenements so long as she remain a widow of the said Solomon. Items I give an bequeath unto my grandson Jacob Luke, son of my son Solomon, one Negro man slave named (Mink) an Iron (Stove) and old fashioned (Kass) with items. I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Maria Luke, daughter of my son Solomon, one Negro boy named Sam { a large (Glass) } Items I give and bequeath named Alida, the wife of David King two (Cows), two sheep, and one half of my Negro women slave (Diaess) . Items I give and bequeath unto my daughter Achie the wife of Garrith Gowwey two cows, two sheep and the one half of my Negro women slave named Diaess. Items I give and bequeath unto (Maria) Maybe one small looking glass, three silver table spoons. Items I give and bequeath to (Anglsha Burhouce) three silver table spoons. Lastly I do initiate constitute and appoint John D. Winne, John Van Allen and John Winne of the town of Bethlehem in Jericho executors of this my last will and testament.
